Life
Damien Lewis stars as a former police officer who, after years of false imprisonment, returns to the force with a decidedly different philosophy.
On Wednesday at 10pm Against:
Dirty Sexy Money on ABC
CSI: NY on CBS
Dead in: Full Season +
David Semel has a rather long resume of shows he's directed. But the problem I have is not with this show but the way NBC cancels shows like Raines and The Black Donnellys, which should have been given another shot. This show looks good, directed well, and might actually succeed. Yet, I have a bad feeling NBC will kill it. I hope not.

The Bionic Woman
Jamie Sommers is a young woman working as a bartender and raising her teenage sister, Becca. When she is seriously injured in a car accident, her only hope for recovery lies in a top-secret experimental procedure involving bionic body parts!
On Wednesday at 9pm Against:
Private Practice on ABC
Criminal Minds on CBS
'Til Death on Fox
Gossip Girl on CW
Dead in: Full Season +
Ok, I always become wary of remakes, tv or movie. They almost always suck. The Dukes of Hazard, Starsky and Hutch, and The Honeymooners are but a few painful examples. Well at least Battlestar Galactica has proven that wrong. I hope this will be more like BSG (hell, Katee "Starbuck" Sackhoff is in both series.) Now, hopefully the writers can keep up the momentum, Laeta Kalogridis doesn't hav a long list of work. He has a couple eps of Alexander and a couple eps of Birds of Prey. The rest are polish shows I never heard of.
I think BW will do well. It looks smart, has a hot lead (Michelle Ryan is british !!) actress, it has Miguell Ferrer (he's always cool) and let's face it, it will be up against shows no one really watches anyway or will care to watch.

Chuck
20-something computer geek whose life changes forever when the US government downloads a secret database into his brain and recruits him for undercover missions of espionage!
On Tuesday at 9pm Against:
Dancing with the Stars (results show) on ABC
The Unit on CBS
House on Fox
Reaper on CW
Dead in: Mid season, it might just disappear.
Ok this one is directed by McG who produced Supernatural and The O.C., directed Fastlane and a couple movies like We are Marshall and Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle. He also directed music videos for Cypress Hill, Sublime, and Korn. He's cool and as hip as you can get. He's McG. Yet the stuff he makes runs hot and cold. He's got a good idea what the kids will enjoy, with the O.C. and Supernatural. But will it be hip enough? Because um, CA:FT, Pussycat Dolls show, and that horrid Stay Alive movie, gives me doubts.
I hope that McG sticks with what he knows best in this so called drama. I hope he mixes that cool hip humor mixed with the drama. The trailer doesn't show any of this. It looks bad. Someone at NBC found a Jimmy Fallon looking guy and put him in a Jimmy Fallon kind of tv show. It looks neither dramatic nor comedic.
I know the series House is not everyone's cup of tea, but at it's worse, looks better than Chuck.

Ok start with NBC. On Monday:
Journeyman
A San Francisco reporter suddenly finds himself traveling through time, wreaking havoc on the future and making his present life incredibly complicated.
Against
The Bachelor on ABC
CSI: Miami on CBS
Dead in: 1 season
nothing really compelling against it on the grid. If the writing doesn't keep tight, it will get "Surfaced". Fanboys of Quantum Leap will say how it was ripped off, but whatever...fanboy. Everything is rip off of everything that came before it. deal with it.
The director Alex Graves had been producer on the west wing, so I'll give him that but... He produced an ep of the horrid The Nine, the forgettable Leap of Faith, and a few eps of procedural dramas like The Practice, Gideon's Crossing, Sports Night and Ally Mcbeal.

so it begins...
Ok, here's the rules, It's real simple.
Starting with 2007 Upfronts I will go from one network to another and I'll post a new tv show and you can just post your best guess how long after it's premiere it will last before it get's canceled and why you think so.
Sometime in August I'll make a tally and post the results, and as the season goes on, we'll see who was right.
Just make sure you use your #mfz nick so we know who's who.
